Despite their good intentions and best efforts, Americans doing their spring cleaning might make the home look or smell better on the surface, but vacuuming and cleaning machines only remove some of the dirt, dust and particulates that cause allergic reactions. In a recent national poll commissioned by Stanley Steemer, the nation’s largest deep cleaning service, nearly half of respondents predicted spending less than four hours total on this year’s spring cleaning. But only 19 percent reported having ever used a professional for cleaning.

What the momma thinks……

Today was the big day for us, finally out of one house and into the new. While this event is always tiring, I am truly excited to be in a better area and have more space for my family of 6. One of my biggest concerns with the previous home was the condition we were leaving the carpets and rugs in for the new tenants. It is always important to start with a fresh, clean home and the floors are no exception to the rule. After seeing what we had done to the floors since our last cleaning, I knew it was time to give Stanley Steemer a call.

The carpet cleaning team gave me a call about 5 minutes before arriving at my home. This was ideal for me as I tend to forget things in my busy life and tend to be fairly close by home. Note I was actually grabbing a drive thru lunch when they called. I know shame on me for both. So I rush home and let the guys in the door.

They reviewed what they were to clean and even though I made last minute changes, they were amazing cooperative to my wishes. Then I signed the paper, gave them payment and went on my merry way. About an hour later, I received a call again saying they had completed the job but there was a miscommunication. They informed me that they cleaned two additional area rugs instead of the one I requested. Well to be honest they more than likely needed it. I asked if I need to return to pay the difference and they said not at all since it was their mistake. Now that is fantastic customer service.

A little later my husband went to checkout the work they had done and grab the remaining pieces from our downstairs. He reported they did an amazing job considering the poor condition of the rugs (one being nearly destroyed in my opinion from a salt water aquarium overflow). There was only a few dark stains that did not come up which was to be expected. Otherwise the stairs and landing look almost like new and the rugs get my stamp of picky mom approval.
