Easy Rips Carrot Cupcake Recipe for Easter

As a busy mom who gets called on often to assist with class parties, I tend to embrace my creative side while finding unique ways to save time along the way. Cupcakes tend to be a crowd pleaser and can be simple to create. They are easy to sever in bulk and are quick for clean-up, making them a selection I lean on often when prepping for a youth event. With Easter so close, I am excited to share a few methods to take ordinary treats and turn them into holiday favorites.

Things you will need:

  • 12 orange Starburst
  • Bag of Rips candy (green for the carrot top)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon mixed with 1 tablespoon sugar in a shaker
  • 24 frosted cupcakes {any flavor with white color icing}

How to make a candy carrot:

  1. Cut your Starburst in half.
  2. Flatten the top of one end and make the other end pointed.
  3. On the flattened end add some green Rips {pulled apart in strands}.
  4. Wrap the flattened end around the Rips
  5. Roll the whole thing to form a carrot shape

Putting it all together:

  1. Take your frosted cupcake and sprinkle on the cinnamon/sugar mixture to create a dirt look.
  2. Place carrot on top of cupcake.
  3. Enjoy!
