Playtime just got a little spookier with Puppet Monsters + Giveaway

Want to inspire creativity and encourage imaginative playtime for children? Then look no further than Puppet Monsters – the new, adorable, wearable stuffed toy with interchangeable parts. The possibilities are endless! These fun, furry friends let kids express themselves by dressing up and even performing as their favorite Puppet Monster. Children just put the puppet on their heads and their fingers inside the puppets’ hands to be ready to play!

Importantly, Puppet Monsters offer entertainment that’s interactive without adding to the hours of “screen time” children accrue by watching television or using computers. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, studies show that excessive media use can lead to attention problems, school difficulties, sleep and eating disorders, and childhood obesity.

Puppet Monsters have interchangeable eyes, ears, noses, horns and arms, among other accessories. Kids can easily share and swap Puppet Monsters’ body parts, letting them “mix and match” to create any character they dream up. Each wearable Puppet Monster has dozens of tiny holes on the inside for attaching parts, similar to fastening buttons and easy for children to do on their own. Storage is also convenient with all parts fitting inside the puppet — and, they’re machine washable, too.

Twinkley Eyes

Our original thought when selecting Twinkley Eyes was that this Puppet Monster would keep my artsy 8 year old daughter, Aryka busy. In fact she helped select the adorable, hot pink, round eyed monster as her own. In fact she was so excited, she asked nearly every single day if her new fluffy friend had arrived. Once it had the real fun began.

Right out of the box Twinkley Eyes was equip with a matching accessory kit that includes a set of large eyes, two matching ears, a nose and even a tail. Right now on http://www.buypuppetmonsters.com you can select an additional accessory kit when purchasing your Puppet Monster. Allowing for even more mix and match playtime options.

Each accessory is attached by a plastic insert through a well hidden slit in the monster. These hold well and are simple enough for even my young children to change out without issue.

Puppet Monsters Parts

One everything is in place, it is time for the show. I was actually surprised at the creativity of my daughter when preforming jokes and motions for her family. I can only imagine what adding one or two more characters will add to the mix. Though I can assume we will be laughing something serious.

Puppet Monsters Twinkley Eyes

The Puppet Monster was a bit small in the arm length especially for my 8 year old; I would like to see them about 4-6″ longer. Though when my nearly three year old is wearing Twinkley Eyes, the sizing is more appropriate. The girth of the head slot works well for both age groups which is a big plus for parents who are looking for a toy that will last for a few years or even those like me who want all of their children to be able to have a turn at play.

Overall I am happy with the Puppet Monster. In fact we ordered Jumbo Eyes and Furry Octopus for my son’s upcoming 3rd birthday. He enjoyed playing with his sister so much; I just had to get him his own!
