Wood throne, ‘Child’s Target’
Outlined in a pale straw color, carved wood coils suggest a target. The motif adorns an ottoman by Salihu Ibrahim, inspired by West African thrones. Its dimensions make it perfect as a footstool or for a child’s room.

What the momma thinks…..

I am a big fan of Novica and have purchased various goods for my home and as unique gifts over the last two years. One thing I have come to realize with each purchase comes individuality and a powerful story that speaks directly through the piece itself.

Normally I would be on the hunt for wooden sculptures but on my most recent shopping trip, I wanted something with a little more attitude. Something that was more me and would fit right in our new home. After hours of searching, the Wood throne, ‘Child’s Target’ appeared and the decision was made.

This piece was selected to be used as a foot stool in our office/library area. Upon arrival I realize that it was a tad smaller than expected, at 6 1/2 inches tall. The size though did not take away from the craftsmanship at all. This piece is one of a kind, hand crafted. It is light weight and dainty enough to place in any area of the home.

After closer inspection, you can see the slight imperfections that make it a desirable work of art. I have become a fan of Salihu Ibrahim work and plan to collect additional pieces from his collection available only the Novica website.

Visit Novica and experience their selection for yourself. It is truly one of a kind. Jade necklaces, amethyst dangle earrings, garnet dangle earringsamber earrings, silver pendant necklaces, wrap bracelets, wool shawls, women’s cardigan sweaters and Alpaca sweaters are just a few of the handcrafted items you will find on your journey.

Disclosure: I receive sample(s) free of charge from Novica for purpose of testing and review. My opinions are my own and may differ from those of your own.
