Bed Bugs? NO WAY! Leggett & Platt Invisicase Easy Zip Mattress Encasement Review & #Giveaway

With all the new information about bed bugs, it was time for my household to invest in a good mattress encasement solution. These not only provide a barrier from pesky critters but they are also waterproof which is a huge plus when you have children. We began our mattress transformation in the master bedroom with a Invisicase Easy Zip from Leggett & Platt.

Invisicase Easy Zip Features

  • High performance fibers create a 100% waterproof barrier that repels bodily fluids and moisture and is resistant to stain
  • Machine washable and tumble dry at low temperature
  • Fits mattresses up to 9″ or 12″ thick
  • Available in sizes twin through King including special Twin XL, Full XL and Cal King sizes

Invisicase Easy Zip Benefits

  • Lets vapors escape from a mattress through a special breathable backing on the soft sleeping surface
  • Provides a clean and hygienic sleeping environment for all ages
  • Simple on and off: Easy to fit on mattress with three-side zipper closure

One of my favorite features of the Invisicase Easy Zip is that it offers a dual zipper rounding the entire mattress allowing it to fit snug on both plush top and firm mattresses alike. This also makes keeping this encasement on the mattress a breeze. You simply slide the Invisicase Easy Zip onto the mattress just as you would put a pair of pants on your legs. Then zip it up all around and cover with the velcro closure.

The Invisicase Easy Zip is also very much effective in preventing liquids from reaching the mattress surface. Within a week of starting product use our 18 month old decided he had to go potty in the brief time it would have taken to replace the previous diaper. Of course I immediately stressed out and began removing the covers and sheets as quickly as possible to prevent the bed from becoming saturated in that area. To my surprise the mattress itself was completely protected from this accident by the Invisicase Easy Zip. I simply had to clean the top of the casing with antibacterial spray and dry with a towel. Within minutes I was able to remake my bed with clean linens and go about my day.

In the end we are happy with the quality and workability of the Leggett & Platt Invisicase Easy Zip. In fact I found that my only complaint is that I have to use a cushioned mattress pad over the top of it as placing the fitted sheet only left it feeling a tad uncomfortable. Though after making that small change I am left with peace of mind that I did not have before.
