How Hemp Seeds Can Improve Your Health

The use of hemp seeds to boost health and wellness has been a common practice for decades. Hemp is incredibly rich in some powerful nutrients that can go a long way to improving your overall health. The legalization of the cultivation and distribution of CBD has brought with it the realization that there are many positive benefits to be derived from hemp and virtually no adverse side effects.

Hemp is not to be confused with marijuana in that it does not contain enough TCH to result in any mental impairment or “high”. Instead, there are multiple reasons why you might want to buy cbd hemp seeds for incorporation into your regular diet.

Improve Digestive Health

One of the primary nutrients found in hemp seeds is fiber. As far as your digestive health is concerned, fiber is one of the best things for it. In addition to aiding the functionality of your colon, this nutrient can also help lower your risk of specific types of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

Hemp seeds contain both soluble and insoluble fibers, both of which carry numerous health benefits. Soluble fibers help the body to regulate blood sugar and cholesterol levels, while insoluble fiber is what helps your digestive tract pass waste.

Increase Protein Intake

Protein is your body’s tool for building and repairing cells. With that in mind, a protein-rich diet is essential to keeping yourself in good health. While the main foods that most people look to derive the bulk of their protein from, there are also some excellent plant-based sources of protein as well. One of these is hemp seed.

The amount of protein that is found in hemp seeds is comparable to the amount found in some types of meat. Furthermore, hemp is a complete source of protein, meaning it also contains the necessary amount of essential amino acids. It is vital to consume foods that contain these amino acids since they do not occur naturally in the body.

Another benefit to the protein found in hemp seeds is that the body easily digests it. The same cannot be said about most other plant-based sources of protein.

Help Defend Against Heart Disease

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women alike. The CDC reports that approximately every 40 seconds, someone in America suffers from a heart attack. The most prominent heart disease is coronary artery disease, a condition that affects millions of people nationwide.

With such statistics in mind, there is a general push for people to better look after their cardiovascular health through eating well and exercising more often. Adding hemp seeds to your diet can help you to improve your heart’s health by reducing inflammation and increasing the amount of nitric oxide in the body.

Nitric oxide is produced by an amino acid found in hemp called arginine. It works by assisting your blood vessels in dilation, which leads to lower blood pressure.

  1. I would love to learn how to incorporate them into my diet. I have heard of help seeds.

  2. I have been taking hemp seeds every day for a couple months I didnt know they had so many benefits

  3. Okay, you’ve made a believer of me. This is mainly for my mom – she’s so old and frail. I just have to figure out how to “sneak” them into her food, as she refuses to try anything “natural”. (Yeah, it’s not easy…!)
