#GracoSafety Event Recap! Meet the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40

On Saturday, October 20th I, the “Iowa Mom” hosted a #GracoSafety event at Babies R Us in Orland Park, IL. This event was in efforts to announce their newest infant carseat the SnugRide Click Connect 40. I had an amazing time speaking with fellow bloggers and their families about infant carseat safety and presenting them with a live demo of the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40. Not to mention I learned a few things in the process.

One of the first things that stood out about the SnugRide Click Connect 40 is that it is the only infant car seat that provides rear-facing protection for babies from birth to 2 years old, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. In fact it supports babies from four pounds up to 40 pounds, so safety minded parents like myself can keep their children rear facing longer.

Another outstanding feature is the Click Connect. You might have seen me refer to it as the one click connect on twitter as that is exactly what it is to. You have the ease of one handed use when placing the SnugRide Click Connect 40 in the vehicle base as well as an approved Graco Click Connect stroller. In one simple click sound the infant seat is secure and away the on the go parent my go.

Surprisingly the SnugRide Click Connect 40 is also light weight, making it easier to transfer from one place to another without disturbing baby. This was very important to me when my children were sleeping babies. I enjoyed those quiet moments and appreciated that Graco created a seat that allows me to move baby from car to inside or car to stroller without waking them. I am sure baby also likes not being bothered as well.

SnugRide Click Connect 40 Memorable Features:

  • 4 – 40 pound weight limit— a full 2 years
  • Base adjusts with 8 recline positions for most leg room of any rear-facing car seat for baby comfort
  • The Simply Safe Adjust™ harness systems allows parents to adjust the harness and headrest with just one hand to fit their baby’s height as their baby grows, all without having to rethread the harness for extra convenience.
  • Click Connect™ attachment which allows parents to easily transition their babies from the car seat to the stroller through a simple, but secure, one-step “click.

My assistant Brandi from Sassy Wife Chronicles brought along her 3 month old adorable little lady and I was so amazed at not only how functional the SnugRide Click Connect 40 but also how extremely comfortable babe looked while in-seat. There is a good deal of quality padding surrounding the infant as he/she is properly seated in the SnugRide 40. The infant headrest has a dual-layer of cushion which really surrounds baby’s head and keeps them comfortable and wobble-free. Plus as mentioned above you have the ability to move that headrest as baby grows without having to retread the harness itself which is another thumbs up improvement.

Don’t be disappointed that the SnugRide Click Connect 40 is the only click connect carseat at this time. Graco will be adding to their Click Connect line in 2013!

The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
