Finding a bit of ‘me’ time

Many parents are struggling to find that little bit of ‘me’ within their busy family lives. Between taking care of children, work, and household obligations it is difficult to find a few minutes to de-stress. Even if you have a little bit of alone time, many people have a hard time deciding which activities should help them relax the best. For the undecided, the following are some suggestions.

Play an online game: Playing games online is a great way to relax. Since they are available at any time, you don’t have to squeeze your schedule around to fit them in. There are hundreds of games like this one-roulette. So whether you play an old favorite or learn something new, you can have fun in the little bit of time that you have available.

Pamper yourself: With taking care of children many people forget to take care of themselves. Luckily a great night in with a warm cup of tea, a blanket and a good book might be an ideal way to spend a few minutes or even hours, after everyone has gone to bed. Best yet you do not have to feel guilty about leaving home.

Be active: True, many of us have very little time to become active. However a few small changes can make a huge difference to our well-being. Exercise can be easily incorporated into your everyday lives, and it does not have to be a chore. A short walk around the block can clear your mind and tone your stomach.
