Dsenyo’s Little Friends Review

Dsenyo's Little Friends

Every child has that favorite stuffed animal that they cling to all of the time. With my daughter, Rachel, she was a blanket kind of girl. She wouldn’t go anywhere without her favorite blanket. Well, technically she wouldn’t go anywhere without some sort of blanket period. Then we received a Dsenyo Little Friend for review and it was automatic love at first sight. As soon as she saw the adorable little teal bunny made with love come out of the box, she was never without it.

The story behind each and every one of the Dsenyo Little Friends is also something very rare. Dsenyo is a member of the Fair Trade Federation that works with groups in both Africa and Latin America to create jobs for those that are less fortunate. These dolls are handmade out of 100% cotton by a women’s group in Africa.

Mwayiwathu HIV Support Group is made up of 17 members that help to bring these dolls to life. They are women that have directly been affected in some way by AIDS. These women use the wages that they make from making these dolls for others to love to send their children to school, make improvements to their homes or even start other ventures for themselves on the side as businesses.

Soft cotton does not even do this doll justice. It is so soft to the touch that my daughter gives her little bunny hugs and kisses on the regular. I am sure that if she could talk more she would have named it but for now it’s just Bunny. She can not even go to sleep anymore without Bunny which is extremely touching to me as a parent. Bunny brings her comfort that she needs whether it be when she is about to fall asleep or just making her way about her business throughout the day. The only thing Bunny has not done with her since she arrived on our doorstep is eat with her. After finding out that Bunny can take a bath in the washer and get a good drying in the dryer it put my worries to ease that Bunny could do anything and everything with Rachel that she wanted her to do.

Seeing the smile on her face is all that it takes to make me want to get her even more of these dolls to love and to help support the women trying to do better for themselves and their families. They have so many cute dolls that are sure to make your little one smile from bunnies to elephants. There is something for anyone of any age to love. Even though we received the Bunny in Turquoise pictured below there is so much more on the site to love and treasure.
