A bigger closet and an actual room/area for laundry would be great. If choosing one room to makeover, I’d go with my kitchen. We’ve had ugly white – dingy – counter tops since moving in 20 years ago. I’d love new ones.

Lots of things need fixing on my 1930s cottage, but I think linoleum for the kitchen and laundry room would be the best place to start. Thanks for the chance!

  24. Kelly O'M says

It would be an update without worrying about the cost of each and every item. I would start with my kitchen. Or maybe the patio. Or maybe the bathroom 😉

A dream makeover to me would be redoing the bathrooms in our new home and putting carpet in my kids playroom

  26. melissa cushing says

It means refinishing and making each room in my home… everything that I have ever wanted in a home. I do not need a big house…. a huge Ranch is great for me…. just room for storage and a savvy floor plan with fashionable furnishings…. I am good to go! Thanks for sharing!

What the makeover would mean for me would be to have everything redone and made larger. More space, better updated furniture and appliances would be nice

  32. Ashley Trail says

A dream makeover would be whatever my parents want, they all but have the house I grew up in paid off and they have been doing things here and there to keep it maintained. Mom finally got a semi new kitchen and my dad lays pavers so we have a front porch , lol . So honestly anything that my momma wants in her “dream” is what I would want , thank you for the chance :)

  33. Ashley C says

We’re in the process of purchasing our first home, so to me it would me having a brand new kitchen or bathroom because all the homes we are looking at are fixer-uppers!

  42. Linda Szymoniak says

To me a dream home makeover would be updating our home, which was built and decorated over 30 years ago, to a more modern style. The house as it is now was great for raising our kids, but my life has changed, and I’ve changed, and I’d love things to fit my personality and lifestyle as it is now, and not me from “then.”

  43. Cathy Lipscomb says

A new dream home to me means a complete makeover of the home I live in. It used to be my mother-in-law’s home before she passed away. If it were made-over, then it would feel more like my own, not hers. It could definitely use a bathroom and kitchen re-do as it was built in the ’50s.

  44. Laurie Nykaza says

  49. stephanie says

A dream home makeover would mean I would have to have a home that I can live in first! Then after that, it would mean making my kitchen wonderful and open! It would also mean a nice big backyard fenced in with the lawn good instead of full of stickers like ours, that way the kids could be kids instead of having to stay in a small part of the yard, with shoes on, and still having to watch when they step!

  50. Rachel Miller says

It means getting a really old house done over with updated electrical/heating/windows/insulation…everything!

  51. natalie yeoman says

i would like to redo my upstairs bathroom i would like to put in new floors and paint the walls over and put in new sinks

  52. Jai B. says

A dream house for me would have a bigger kitchen. I love to cook, but my kitchen is quite small, so sometimes it’s difficult to do more complicated dishes.

  53. says

A Dream-House Makeover would firstly mean to me that the various things that are wrong inside my house be righted. The kitchen floor that is cracking as is the bathroom floor, a small leak in the kitchen and wood floors in desperate need of TLC. Then, I would enlarge the two bedrooms downstairs and redecorate. 60. David Smith says

We live in a fairly new mobile home (modular home, I guess is the term now), and not a whole lot can be done as far as changing anything or adding anything to it. The main thing that I would really like to do is completely remodel the kitchen with much better constructed cabinets that have much greater storage or much more efficient storage along with new refrigerator and dishwasher.

We are living in our dream home, but it could be dreamier with some great interior decorating help :)

  75. kristin h says

A dream home makeover means to me: a relaxing but fun place where my husband, kids and I can all hang out together

  76. Lynn C says

My tiny cottage needs major updates. I’m not talking, “The bathroom is yellow, but I want it to be blue,” type updates. I mean badly torn linoleum, cracking plaster, a leaking washing machine hose…and then there’s the kitchen. I’d like to redesign it extensively with space for a built-in dishwasher, more accessible cabinets and a new countertop to replace the one I painted a few years ago. Never try that! It’s a ton of work and doesn’t hold up, so if your countertop looks that bad, just replace it.

  77. Terri Morgan says

  82. Anita says

I would love to just gut the house and make it over with a more open floor plan, instead of having a narrow hallway and the laundry room in that hallway. I’d also love to make the master bedroom larger as well as re-do the master bath.

  83. Lisa K says

For me, Dream Home Make Over would mean: Adding an upstairs to our home, expanding our kitchen area (it’s really small), indoor access to the basement, a new roof and new paint or siding outside. Our house was built in 51, it’s about 1300 sq ft. We live in a nice area on a double lot, we’d rather expand than move. We have 3 kids so we could use the space.

  86. Karen says

A dream home makeover would be to give my mom the house she’s always wanted but never been able to afford. You know those basic builder houses in suburbia that a lot of people live in, but then complain about its boring, standard features? Yeah, those houses are the ones that my family has never lived in. If I could give my mom a house like that, with enough room for all of her grandkids, then that would be the perfect makeover to me! If it means adding on to their current home, then great. If not, a new home would be fine too! haha

  91. kim says

A dream home makeover would include my kitchen, my bathrooms, my dining room I would do over as much in my house as I could we have already started renovating so I wouldn’t need to do it all

I would love adding an oversized deck to the back of our current home. Thanks for the chance to win!
    mrsmchappell at gmail dot com

A dream home makeover for me would mean new carpet (or wood floors would be even better!) and some touch up painting.

  99. Cynthia P says

Start with one very old house in the country, update the plumbing, electrical, heating, lighting, painting, windows, landscape, and structural needs, then allowing me to put my personal decorative mark on it!

  100. Brandi Price says

Ohhh… I could go on and on. Beginning with Windows and siding and porches… then bathrooms… and kitchen and living room… does the whole house count?

  101. Desiree Dunbar says

To me it means a completely redone kitchen with new appliances, cabinets, floor and a huge chopping block.

  102. April M says

For me a dream home makeover would be fixing everything that’s worn out and broken. Replacing cracked tubs and nasty tile countertops, having our scuffed tile floors professionally cleaned, and maybe adding some landscaping.

A Dream Home Makeover to me means fixing EVRYTHING in my house and making it look 100x better. and giving it more of a family traditional type feel. :)
