Welcome to the Game Wirelessly! Event featuring the PlayMG Wi-Fi Gaming System

Big thank you to our host Mom to Bed by 8 and supporting co-hosts: Iowa Mom, A Medic’s World and Monica’s Rants, Raves & Reviews.

Why is the MG so different from any other Wi-Fi device – from smartphones to tablets?

The MG fills a huge void currently experienced by kids and teens who either are not old enough to have their own smartphones, or whose parents have found data plans cost prohibitive. The MG isn’t just a device, it is a system that will mean many kids and teens will finally be able to enter the world of freemium apps, and all of the abilities that come with it, while parents can safely and affordable give it to them.

MG Topline Features:

  • Built in Wi-Fi allows entry into the unlimited world of low cost and free app gaming
  • MG Family Collaboration System: includes the “DebitSmart” Digital Wallet and “Remote Trust” notification function
  • Big 4″ touchscreen encased in a sleek and sturdy “pocketable” game-centric design: rounded corners and grip provide a perfect hold on the app playing experience
  • 4GB built in memory with SD port for expandable memory ability: add SD cards and download and save as many apps as desired. (This is important-even the iTouch has a fixed memory)
  • Proprietary MG Origins Avatar System: as gamers use the MG, they gain points, customize and unlock the origin story of their own personal gaming companion
  • Preloaded games and cash credit toward game purchase
  • 1.3 Megapixel Front-Facing Camera and ability to shoot and play video
  • Stereo Headset Jack
  • Operating on ICS ; includes new Face Unlock security feature

  2. Jennifer Hedden says

I learned and like the parental controls allow you to monitor activity from a distance through notifications by email.

  3. Allyson Tice says

I like that my son can =Now get more than 60,000 app games; a 4-inch touch screen; cool and slim pocketable design; and a super easy way to responsibly make app purchases without bothering or surprising your parents

  4. sandra davis says

what i like is parents no longer need to worry about surprise charges, or be hassled every time their teen wants to buy a 99-cent app or make an in-game purchase. thats great.

  5. Gena Durbin Carrico says

I like how it has a wallet so you can put an amount they can spend on apps but no more and no more suprise charges

  6. Kathleen Manthey says

I have to say I think the Free $10 of SpendSmart™ prepaid MaterCard® with sign up is pretty darn nice! And SO MANY apps too! LOVE it!

    • Meghan says

Hey parents, rarely can you give something so cool that will build trust and teach the responsibility of ownership. MG is the first portable Android gaming system designed so your kids can have their own system, without getting a smartphone and the expensive monthly plans that come with it. The Family Collaboration System is built right into the MG. It provides an easy way to load it with their allowance, and a trust-but-verify tool that keeps you in the loop on their activity. Doesn’t it just make sense to separate their play, from your phone?

I pasted this from the website, I really like that it has parental controls and no having to buy smartphone since my son loves my ipad and iPhone but he’s constantly accidentally buying dtuff or deleting it

  7. Kathleen Manthey says

I have to say the free $10 with sign up of SpendSmart prepaid MaterCard is pretty nice! I like that there are SO MANY apps too!! I LOVE it!

  8. Dawn Justice says

This would be great for my son, he’s always wanting to play with my PSVita :) and this looks almost just like it lol.

  9. Lynnae Parrish-Schloneger says

I loved the preloaded apps, I LOVE The spend smart card…put $10 bucks on it and they give you $20 towards games! That’s awesome!

  10. Heather Carter says

I love that I can set it up so my kids can play without ringing up and arm and a leg in in game spending like they do now.

  11. heather j says

I like the idea of the “allowance.” There is nothing like getting a surprise 1000 dollar phone bill!!!

  12. Kerri Stewart says

    This is a great idea:

Your MG comes pre-loaded with premium games from top game houses like EA and Com2us, so you can start gaming right away. But that’s only the beginning. All sorts of games and apps await you at Google Play. Most of them are free. Many cost only 99 cents. And when you sign up for the SpendSmart™ prepaid MasterCard® and add at least $10, we’ll match it with an additional $10 giving you $20 to buy more games and apps.

  13. Michael L. Worthington says

This is the first time I have heard of this device. Pretty Awesome. I especially like the parental controls that are built in to the device. Thanks for an awesome giveaway!

  15. Alisha says

I have never even heard of this device, but I know my husband would love that it is an Android and I love that it has parental controls. Believe it or not, my two girls have an iPhone and iPad at ages 1 and 3…they use them constantly and it would be great to have something that I had a bit more control over as they get older, plus my step son is 11 and loves anything electronics…the parental controls would be very useful for him.
