An Artist’s Adventure In Europe

 An Artist’s Adventure In Europe

Over the last few centuries, the world has gone absolutely mad for art. Of course, this has been a large part of human culture for thousands of years, with very early people using basic artwork to express themselves. With art’s popularity having risen so highly, you can find great examples of galleries and museums dedicated to it across Earth. Some are large, holding some of the most famous pictures in history. Others, though, are much smaller and will be home to pieces created by locals. To help you in exploring the best of them, this post will be going through four of the most popular galleries in Europe.

Tate Britain/Tate Modern: While these are technically separate galleries, they share a parent organisation, as well as their home city; London. The Modern is filled with contemporary and modern works, and a lot of the exhibits you will find are very different to the art of the past. The Britain is much more traditional, housing mostly paintings and other illustrations, from a range of eras throughout British history. Being so close together, it’s easy to see both of these venues over the course of a single day.

The Louvre: Hitting the Eurostar and getting yourself into Paris should only take a couple of hours, and will put you in the home of the one of the most well-known galleries the world has to offer. Securing yourself some Louvre Tickets and a guided tour won’t cost a fortune, while giving you the chance to enjoy this place to its full potential. Of course, though, it could be worth researching the pieces you’d like to see, as this attraction gets very busy.

The Van Gogh Gallery: Travel from Paris to Amsterdam can be done through a range of different transport methods, from flying to getting a train, and you will be met with similar luxury upon your arrival. This will give you access to a museum dedicated to the work of Van Gogh. While some people don’t enjoy his work, most will be able to appreciate the level of talent and dedication which must have gone into this lifetime of pain and toil.

The Prague National Gallery: Finally, as the last destination on this list, it’s time to fly to Prague to check out their National Gallery. Being a state-run attraction, you can expect to charged a fair price for tickets to this place, and it will be nice and easy to beat the queues. This collection is the largest in the Czech Republic, spanning over dozens of different buildings and venues. Being so spread, this is a great option for those looking to get a few days out of their trip.

Hopefully, this post will inspire you to start searching for your next arty adventure. A lot of people struggle to find the galleries they’d like to see, simply because they don’t do the research. It doesn’t have to be this way, though, as there are loads of different attractions for you to see if you can’t get enough of art.
